Our Standards
IMPACTING SOCIETY
At Palmaris we are fully aware of the impact that our business has on society. We understand the effect our business has on the people involved, whether it be Client, Staff or end user or the local and national economy.
Palmaris has a duty to these people and groups to behave responsibly in all respects. We manage our corporate social responsibilities under four principal policy areas:
- Quality
- Health and Safety
- Environment
- Social and Ethical
We have included links to our policy statements detailed above.
QUALITY
Here at Palmaris we listen carefully to our customers. We understand that it is critical to be able to self-deliver all of our services so that we are in control of both service experience and the opportunity to build long- term partnerships with our customers. We also understand the importance of each business unit being driven by its own management team to not only maintain its high levels of service but to bring together a truly integrated knowledge base where real added value can be achieved. In our pursuit of service excellence we commit to working in a way that ensures our services are delivered in an effective and efficient manner whilst maintaining a culture that is underpinned by our professional management systems. We have achieved ISO 9001 status (Quality Management Systems). This enables us to continuously improve our quality delivery.
HEALTH & SAFETY
At Palmaris the Health and Safety of our employees, subcontractors, clients and the people living around us is key. Our staff have a right to a safe working environment, and we are constantly striving to minimise any the risks that they are exposed to. Safety management is always part of all of our working practices. We have invested a considerable amount in Health and safety and have acheived certification to the OHSAS 18001:2007 Health and Safety Management System Standard.
ENVIRONMENT
We believe in protecting the environment in which we work and live. At Palmaris, we have accepted our responsibilities to protect the environment. To this end we have achieved certification to ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System, which ensures that we take into account all our work activities and then measure what impact these activities can have on the environment.
On a regular basis we carry out Environmental Impact Assessments on our projects. This is to ensure that the systems we have in place are adequate to control all environmental risks.
We also measure our carbon footprint and carry out improvements that will benefit employees, clients, the general public and, of course, the environment.
